Do you find the following shows funny - if so why? Family guy, The Simpsons, The Inbetweeners. Write it in your book.
Copy this into your books "Many people find these shows funny as they use heightened naturalism which we means they are naturalistic characters we recognise in our day to day lives and can relate to. They then exaggerate them. This makes them funny."

CHALLENGE PLENARY: Can you think of a character from comedies today which link to the original commedia characters?
E.g Mr Burns from The Simpsons is Pantelone as he is old, rich, cunning and sly as well as tricking people of their money!!
